Golf News Now
LiveEvery golf story from 15+ sources in one clean feed, with tournament leaderboards, no web views.

Problem
Golf coverage is spread across more than a dozen publishers, and most aggregator apps just wrap their websites in a web view.
Solution
A server-side content pipeline pulls RSS from Golf Digest, Golf.com, Golfweek, Golf Channel, PGA Tour, DP World Tour, LPGA, MyGolfSpy, GolfWRX, ESPN Golf, The Fried Egg, No Laying Up, and Barstool Golf every 30 minutes, extracts and sanitizes each article, and converts it to Markdown so the app renders natively.
Key features
- Home, Tournaments, Favorites, Profile tabs
- Infinite-scroll feed with pull to refresh and cursor pagination
- Native Markdown article view with like, favorite, and read tracking
- PGA tournament list and live leaderboards from the ESPN Golf API
- Full-text search with source, date, and sort filters
- Threaded comments with likes, replies, and reporting
- Guest mode, email auth, notification preferences, account deletion
- Offline indicator with a pending-action queue that replays when back online
- Deep linking and social sharing

A full v1 to v2 migration
Firebase and Cloud Run moved to Supabase, NestJS, and Fly.io; React Navigation moved to Expo Router; the app was rewritten on the New Architecture.
Review-safe architecture
No WebView reading, optional accounts, in-app deletion, and a terms gate, so App Store review has nothing to object to.
A resilient RSS pipeline
Dedupe across sources and user-agent workarounds for feeds that block bots, running every 30 minutes on BullMQ.
